Kendall – Two defaults and enquiries removed, increased Credit Score to 692

Happy young man Kendall celebrating his credit repair success

Kendall came to work with the team with a credit score of just 253. He had two defaults—one for an unpaid telecommunications account, and another for a car that had been repossessed a few years ago. There is a remaining debt of around $8,000 attached to it.

Outcome

We advocated on Kendall’s behalf to remove the default listing for his phone account. We also reviewed the car account and found that it had been incorrectly listed as commercial instead of consumer debt—because of this, we were able to have the default removed from his file.

Upon further investigation, we found that the debt was actually statute-barred, meaning it was non-collectible, and the credit provider was advised to stop seeking this money.

With two defaults and two inquiries removed, Kendall’s credit score came in at 692. Kendall is now in the process of buying his first home for him and his wife.
