Credit Enquiries
Every credit application is a ping on your credit history. Let’s take them out.
Every credit application leaves a footprint on your record—a little enquiry notation that tells lenders “I was here, checking you out.” A couple prints in the sand? No big deal, it happens all the time as people window shop around.
But when those footprints start forming a trail, a pathway crisscrossing all over from too many applications in a short period, that’s when lenders start raising their eyebrows.
That “credit hungry” trail of breadcrumb enquiries paints you as a high-risk borrower. They figure you’re either desperate for credit or have bitten off more than you can chew financially. So they’ll pretty often just deny you or give you outrageous terms and interest rates.
Our credit repair specialists thoroughly analyse your credit report to identify any illegitimate, redundant or unnecessary enquiries we can remove. Multiple enquiries for the same purpose, such as shopping around for a car loan, may be treated as a single enquiry.
We then follow a proven process to get unnecessary enquiries removed from your file. By minimising the amount of enquiries on your record, you can:

How long does a credit enquiry last on my credit report?
A credit enquiry stays on your credit report for 5 years.
Can an enquiry listing be removed from my credit report?
Yes, it can. There are strict rules governing credit enquiry listings. Knowing the rules allow us to advocate on your behalf and find reasons why it can and should be removed. We have a very high success rate of removal.
Trying to do it yourself is very hard and may cause issues for future removal. Please speak with our team first before doing anything.
Does applying for credit impact my credit score?
Yes, everytime you apply for a loan, it may impact your credit score. Personal loans, small loans, buy now pay later, car loans, credit cards and other forms of credit are new risks and therefore affect your credit score..
How often should I apply for credit?
You want to avoid making multiple applications in a short time period. Try to keep applications to a minimum. No more than 1 credit application every 3-6 months. You can also speak with a finance broker and ask them for advice. You want to minimise the number of new applications (credit enquiries), as this is what decreases your score and can have an impact on the interest rates of future borrowing. The less you do it, the better your credit score.
