Michelle – Debts successfully disputed, and increased Credit Score from 169 to 750
Michelle was introduced through a mutual friend. Having been in an abusive relationship in the past, she came with three defaults and numerous inquiries on her credit report. Her credit score was sitting around 169.
Outcome
Upon reviewing the defaults and debts, we found that several of the debts were disputable and had potentially been taken out by her former partner. The debts were successfully disputed, and we worked to have the defaults removed from her credit report.
As we went along, we also focused on client education to teach Michelle about credit reports and credit scores. Upon completion of the process, Michelle’s credit score returned to 750, and she is now well on her way towards saving for a deposit to buy her first home.
